NOTICE OF JOINT PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED ANNEXATION
VILLAGE OF INTERLAKEN AND TOWN OF COVERT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Joint Public Hearing will be held by the Board of Trustees
of the Village of Interlaken and the Town Board of the Town of Covert, Seneca County,
New York, pursuant to Article 17 of the New York State General Municipal Law, with respect
to a petition for annexation of certain real property.
The petition has been submitted by the property owner, Michael R. Johnson, requesting
annexation of real property situated in the Town of Covert, identified on the Seneca County
tax assessment rolls as Tax Map Number 07-1-10.1, into the Village of Interlaken.
The Joint Public Hearing will be held on:
Date: March 9, 2026
Time: 7:00 PM
Place: Town of Covert Municipal Building
8469 Main St, Interlaken, New York
At such time and place, all interested persons will be heard concerning the proposed annexation,
including the impact of such annexation on the affected territory and the municipalities involved.
The annexation petition, together with a map of the subject property, is on file and may be examined
during regular business hours at the offices of the Town Clerk of the Town of Covert and the Village
Clerk of the Village of Interlaken.
